Their logo, the twins of Gemini, is known the world over and was registered by founder, Peter Henckels. Eventually the company would go on to be named for Peter’s son, Johann Abraham (J.A.) Henckels. This company entered the US market when by opening a shop in New York City in 1883 and has continued to create extremely high quality products. Particularly sought after J.A. Henckels knives include those with stag handles in the whittler, congress, shell puller, premium stock, lockback hunter and skinner knife patterns. Some of the other trademarks seen on these knives include Twin Works and Zwilling. Check out the H. Boker & Co. and Puma Knives pages as well.
