Olsen OK Knives were located in Howard City, Michigan in the 1950’s and 1970’s and made made high quality, fixed blade hunting knives during this time. The company was started by Lee Olsen Jr. (pictured at right). Most of the fixed blade knives were marked “Olsen OK H.C. MI” and blades had a curved spine and brass guard. Handles were usually rosewood and knives came with sturdy leather stitched sheaths that were stamped, “Olsen OK.” After this era, it appears that Olsen contracted knives to be made in Solingen, Germany. In addition, Schrade was brought in as well to make some Olsen pocket knives. Olsen made knives for Colt, Herters and LL Bean during their history.
