Original Sheath on this Marbles Ideal Hunting Knife with a 5″ blade! Bakelite pommels were only used on Ideals from 1949-53 so this is a scarce knife! Overall length in 9″. Blade has a bit of staining and pitting but overall in nice shape. Stacked leather washers in good shape and knife is nice and tight. c. 1860 Waterville Cutlery Co Quill knife ivory handle
Here is a Waterville Cutlery Co quill knife that measures 2 3/8" closed. The blade looks to be stamped W'ville Co in an arch which I have seen marked on small blades. The handles are ivory and have beautiful grain. Beautiful early American knife!
